Mariemont Community Church Parish Center

There will be a combined session in the beginning:  Internet Safety

Most Scout Leaders know what the Totin Chip, Whittling Chip, and Firem'n Chip is.  Do you know what the Cyber Chip is?  Yes it is designed to teach scouts safety on the computer and Internet.  May Round Table we will discuss this award, why and when scouts should earn it, and how it is part of the BSA program.  This will be a joint discussion with both the Boy Scout and Cub Scout Leaders.

Boy Scout Topic:
During the breakout session Boy Scouts will discuss STEM-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  Stem is part of an initiative the BSA has taken on to encourage the natural curiosity of scouts and their sense of wonder about these fields through existing programs.  How is this a part of the merit badge program?  To support this initiative, the BSA developed the Nova Awards program so that youth have fun and receive recognition for their efforts.

Suggestion for Roundtables:  at least one person should attend, it does not have to be the Scoutmaster or Committee Chair.
